WTF, I never thought I'd have a conversation about cross dressers and trans-genders on a car audio forum.

but remember amps are not 100% efficient. i think it would be easier to look at the amp's amperage draw and do the math that way.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

For example take a amp with a 200 amp fuse. That is 75 percent efficient (about the norm with most amps). So you would do 200(amps)x 14.4(voltage) x .75(efficiency) = 2160 watts. But thats with perfect voltage. (with no mla and 12volt batts)

is it:

VOLTS X AMPS==WATTS produced?

or somthing like that to find out what my electric system can support...?

This is exactly how you calculate power. Remember that it's AC voltage & amperage output from the amplifier. Trying to calculate based off fuse rating or current draw is only a rough guess at best.

I actually had this same question so just to clarify, are you taking the voltage and amperage the amp is putting out at the speaker terminal at max volume or am I :wacko: retarded?
