dirtboi22
is it: VOLTS X AMPS==WATTS produced? or somthing like that to find out what my electric system can support...?

skittlesRgood
but remember amps are not 100% efficient. i think it would be easier to look at the amp's amperage draw and do the math that way. dirtboi22
how do you do it that way? by going on what the amplifiers fuse goes by?
OBI
For example take a amp with a 200 amp fuse. That is 75 percent efficient (about the norm with most amps). So you would do 200(amps)x 14.4(voltage) x .75(efficiency) = 2160 watts. But thats with perfect voltage. (with no mla and 12volt batts)

Derrick824
is it: VOLTS X AMPS==WATTS produced? or somthing like that to find out what my electric system can support...? This is exactly how you calculate power. Remember that it's AC voltage & amperage output from the amplifier. Trying to calculate based off fuse rating or current draw is only a rough guess at best. I actually had this same question so just to clarify, are you taking the voltage and amperage the amp is putting out at the speaker terminal at max volume or am I retarded?
