AI James Posted December 15, 2009 Report Share Posted December 15, 2009 lol once again everyone thinks they gotta have 2x rms on thier woofers to get out of them what they are supposed to do at rms. people seriously need to stop being so cheap and either buy the subwoofers that take the power they wanna run, or design a box that they can actually get the same output using rms. people on this forum will always fail to realize you dont need 2x or 3x rms to be loud....just becasue someone else does it doesnt mean you need to do it too. if they jump off a bridge are you going to also? as for the aq2200 on a level 4, you probably have a final ohm load where it might be seeing 1k, and to say you had it on 2 hours so you know is even more ludicrous because as the coil heats up on the subwoofer your getting even less power. hate to break it to all of you but even the fellas with 5k per woofer arent seeing 5k all day long on a subwoofer, due to various conditions. if you wanan run 2k to a sub get an xl or even a level 5, yea they cost more but thats what they were made for. as ive said time and time again, all the changing coils really does is appease people who are to damn cheap to buy what they should have in the first place...dropping a bigger coil in a sub doesnt make the motor any stronger, all your getting is a lil bit more thermal capability Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I would like to see all of you sayin your doin all that power actually clamp ur amps and see your actual power output.. ur jaw might drop..
