sully
I did that when I built the system the first time. Worked great but you will need to up the voltage of your alternator to overcome the internal resistance in the batteries. I had 2 6 volt and 2 8 volt batteries wired for 14 volts, it rested around 14.6 ish but they were not always fully charged cause I used to pound on it all the time. I got the batteries from a buddy that had a golf cart repair shop. I was told to charge at 16.5volts but my amps wont take over 16 so I set it up to charge at around 15.5 and it worked pretty well. Some alternators you can just add resistors to one of the wires in the harness to up the voltage output, do some research and you may find that it is a cheap upgrade. 2003 Ford F-150 Reg Cab layin body on 26's 2003 Tahoe 3/5 drop on 26's with a 408cid Supercharged engine. 2011 Camaro 2SS 2005 VW GTI Stage II ECU, CAI, 3" turbo back exhaust, FMIC, lowered 2" on some plastidipped 18's 2003 Hayabusa lowered, stretched, cams, nitrous and custom paint
