sully
if you really want the sundown you will not be happy with the AP, it is a good amp for the money but it won't do rated power. 2003 Ford F-150 Reg Cab layin body on 26's 2003 Tahoe 3/5 drop on 26's with a 408cid Supercharged engine. 2011 Camaro 2SS 2005 VW GTI Stage II ECU, CAI, 3" turbo back exhaust, FMIC, lowered 2" on some plastidipped 18's 2003 Hayabusa lowered, stretched, cams, nitrous and custom paint

There are countless threads over on CA, here on SMD, and other forums about the ap30001d.And sully- where do you get your info from? There have been many tests done on the AP3000 and it never does rated power, maybe max (way over inflated) power rating but RMS power on these are not what people are expecting. You get exactly what you pay for. My personal experience with this amp is very limited, the one I installed was not impressive. I wouldn't expect a lot out of these amps but dollar for dollar they are a good buy for a budget build, just don't expect 3k watts. 2003 Ford F-150 Reg Cab layin body on 26's 2003 Tahoe 3/5 drop on 26's with a 408cid Supercharged engine. 2011 Camaro 2SS 2005 VW GTI Stage II ECU, CAI, 3" turbo back exhaust, FMIC, lowered 2" on some plastidipped 18's 2003 Hayabusa lowered, stretched, cams, nitrous and custom paint
slim2fattycake
That is way different than all the threads about the ap30001d. So where are these tests about the ap30001d never doing rated power? Also, don't get it wrong that I won't recommend the sundown. We all know about sundown's great reputation of customer service and products. SPL KID
I personally own a ap3000d and I must say my first place trophy's keep rolling in. But I would buy a saz2000d because the owner of the company walks the streetz freely everyday and if your in the right spot you can catch him and whoop hiz arse if you ever needed to. I had to whoop hiz arse several times and he is a really small guy so i overtook him farely easy and gave him a thorough beat down ........ in my mind But i'm sure some Saz owners or even Team sundown guys will vouch for the 2000's if your gonna get them anyway get one now instead of later. Team_DC-Derrick
ran the amp 1 ohm stereo so I had to test per channel. I am honestly pretty amazed about it 20.4 ampsx 45.8 volts so 934.32 RMS per channel so 1868.64 RMS with imp rise 2.25 per channel so 4.5 ohms basically bridged and still did 1868 watts ... also to top it off!!! Dropping to 11.8 during test!!! It is rated 3000 at 2 ohm mono and 2000 at 4 ohm... And I got over 1900 at 4.5 at 11.5 so I am pretty sure this amp does rated and maybe then some. Now I am sure distortion rates were high but for what the amp costs. I did have a problem with it clipping out on my twice while driving on high freq but i am going to cut it some slack for now. I have a battery in the rear But I have cheap 4 gauge going from batt to amp and I am using a so so grounding point which I have the battery grounded there with 4 gauge and 4 gauge from the battery to the amp so perhaps it is getting some restriction. quoted from http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=359830 The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall.......
