sodfamily
When does this popping sound occur. On first start up? When shutting down? When the volume is move (up or down)? When tracks change on a song? How are the electrical (power and ground) set up. ^^^^^^x2 on the low voltage, what is happening there? I have installed a 3000 and had no isssue and then did a direct swap to a 3500 and it is perfect. Enellz
Are your decks RCA grounds loose? Are the amps grounded to one location? Are the grounds sanded down to bare metal? Have your tried swapping RCA wires? Have you checked you voltage with a DMM at the Amp, battery (front/back), also the ohm load? dblovah51
i was thinkin low voltage was the part of the issue in my boy jeep with the two 3k, but in the other vehicle with the 3.5k the voltage doesnt drop below 12.6 and the poppin begin sumtimes even before the voltages reaches that low. this amp was from db-r so im thinkin that refurb wasnt a good repair. ill try some of you guys ideas and check the other things y'all listed also appreciate all the inputs Edited December 18, 2009 by dblovah51 Quote 2004 trailblazer 4 FI BTL 18s (2) DC 10.0k xs power d3100s mechman 270 158.2 @

sundownz
So there is a popping while playing music ? Are the subs reaching mechanical limits ? Also... unhook the remote knob and see if it stops.
