coil burning??

COME ON bro

if you dont have the electrical to power ur amp then TURN THE GAIN DOWN, this is rocket science... wire it for 1 ohm and set the gain for 6-700w @1ohm end of story

whether you have it wired for 1 ohm or 2 ohm, YOU dictate how much power the sub gets by the GAIN setting

ur sub isnt going to magically get 1200w if you dont set ur gain for that

i rewired my sub and it came out to 1.3 ohms load.

there you go. 1 ohm load right there. its never gonna be perfect. now go tune your gains like we all have said 100 times

edit: honestly man, it doesnt take this long to diagnose a problem and fix it. do what we tell you and your stuff will last

set your voltage to 24.5

maybe 26

you still have a LOT to learn man

ur lucky you got that DC woofer haha that coil should have exploded

and decaf, it IS rocket science lol.

lol, i noticed that... it was suppose to say "isnt"

this is true, exploshun!! lulz

please tell me u checked each voicecoils ohm before wiring them together to get ur 1.3

hopefully u didnt do any damage to the one coil hooked up

otherwise just insert ur wattage into this equation

R= rms wattage

(R x 1.3ohm)sqrt = voltage to set gain at

example

(700w x 1.3ohm)sqrt = 30.1v

Is It really 1.3 or 1 even because that will change the voltage amount when setting the gain iam going to say. 1even because your meter is off .3 I could be wrong but I doubt it.

internal DMM resistance couldve added a few tenths to the resistive load.

touch the 2 dmm leads together and see what number you get. take that number and subtract it from 1.3 or w/e your subs resistance is through the meter.

each coil is 2 ohms. so 600w x 1.3ohm= ~27V.
