BulletInjection Posted December 25, 2009 Report Share Posted December 25, 2009 (edited) Hey I installed my HIDs this morning from santa and they came on perfect took a ride came back working fine, went out again(they were so pretty) and they were working fine, then I left to go pick up my grandma and I jumped out to look at them again because they are sexy... and my drivers side one is out. So I turn it off and on and I see it flicker then turn off(just the drivers side one goes off). I have a relay on my ballasts and my grounds are good, is one of my ballasts bad? Its a bad ballast on the side of the HID thats bad... I too had a bad ballast when i first installed my H.I.D.'s 2 years ago.. Guess you gota go thru warrenty and all that... Its sucks but it happens.. Also you can use different size ballasts in the H.I.D world.. BeatBox Posted December 26, 2009 Report Share Posted December 26, 2009 did you get a RELAY with the HID kit? if you DIDNT sometimes only one of the headlights will turn on or try to turn on "flicker" when you turn your headlights on. i had that problem with mine, i didnt get a realy and i had to wait a week for it. then after that they started right up. hope this helps. GL Yeah I got a relaybecause of the 6 amps needed to get them started up and stock only puts out 3-4amps and those grounds were sanded down so those are good, I guess ill call them in the morning and send the relay back. im not really even sure of the brand because I did not buy them. Relay's are known to go bad too and have the same issue as a bad Ballast going out with one bulb being on, or both not turning on.. Just replace it with another 5 pin Relay..
