Whats your biggest peeve that people do when it comes to car audio?

Honestly, people are dumb when it somes to Jackhammers, there is probably some kid somewere that thinks he could put a jackhammer in a smartcar. lol.

you could probably mount it as long as you seal up the entire car, make a port out of the trunk, and use the car as a box. can't drive it though. oh well =]

well, you can. and he found out the loud way. not a peeve but it was kinda funny.

the people that ask for w7's and only have 400 bux of their life savings to spend...or people that hear a shop demo car and say "i want that in my car, can you do it?" of course we can. thats what we do, and thats what we did, and we can do it again. then they explain they have a 400 dollar budget, and I explain that doesnt even cover the goddamn power/speaker/signal wires, let alone equipment and install.

we have a 5ft by 10 ft neon yellow and red sign that says "remote starts $149 installed!" and atleast 3 people walk in every day and go "do you guys install remote starts here?...no...we have a 50 square foot sign to draw you in so i can sell you air fresheners.

people that go "how much to install an amp" and then refuse to tell me what amp, forcing me to throw out a random number. then they bring some 200amp draw beast in and insist on a 4g install for a 8g price saying 0g isnt necessary and theyve run it that way forever...so i just tell them ok, but i'm not responsible for anything and not going to warantee any of the work. and who is meca, stinger, and monster to decide what kinda of current their wire is capable of handeling? customer is always right.

Any time i go to a shop i find myself asking noobish questions, not because i want to annoy you, but because i want to learn.

And apparently shop owners hate all questions asked, about almost anything, especially if i throw a "lol" in there.

To be honest, i dont know how to perfectly tune a system, and idk what distortion sounds like, that's why its distorted...

But i damn sure know i spend enough time on here eveerrryy single day trying to learn something new.

Noobs ask questions because they have to... They start out dumb, but believe it or not... they become a lot more educated over time. I can prove this by looking at my post history, haha.

Maybe you should submit that idea to MTX. lol. It will sound good and be fuel efficent because it won't be driveable.

I went into the local car audio shop the other day just looking around and the guy asked what kind of system I'm thinking of and I told him two Fi q 15's then he's says that so and so subs out perform the Fi subs. So I come home and look up the specs and the Fi has a way higher rms and a lower ohm load for alot less money.

So he's just saying that because they sell the other sub but not the Fi.

People that don't have a clue about distortion, staging, balance, clipping, VI limiting, or the fact that you don't get quality for nothing! There is a HUGE reason some amps cost 2 or 3 times more for the same power and that reason is the PRODUCT IS FAR SUPERIOR!

I'm pretty sure it's not that they hate being asked questions, but rather WHO is asking the question. I mean If I had kids coming up to me asking about W7's all day because they saw one on youtube and popped a boner, I'd probably get angry too. I'm pretty sure if you clarify that you're not some tooly douche that knows nothing about nothing, they'd probably be more than willing to teach you something.
