DylanH
What would be the best up front battery for 3000 rms. I'm going to run a 260 amp alt and I would rather not run a battery in the back so I would like to just run one in the front to see how that does then run a second in the back if need be. Also I'm going to get a 1996-2002 blazer or a 2005 ford escape. I would like it to fit in the stock position. What do you guys have in mind for an AudioPipe 3000d http://www.youtube.c...er/SmallTownSPL 2002 Chevy Blazer Substage: Shhh, its a secret Mids and Highs: Stock-Going to change soon Amp:MTX 92001 Wire:1/0 Welding cable Electrical:Stock http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 I hope she was meaning that to you. Guest
you can call up XS Power i think to see which of their batts fit in best. http://4xspower.com/ you cant get away with 3krms and a batt up front. you would need about 2 batts in the back, preferably the D3100's
DylanH
How do you find how many watts a battery puts out? http://www.youtube.c...er/SmallTownSPL 2002 Chevy Blazer Substage: Shhh, its a secret Mids and Highs: Stock-Going to change soon Amp:MTX 92001 Wire:1/0 Welding cable Electrical:Stock http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 I hope she was meaning that to you. clouduz
there is a formula for figuring it out, maxxsonics has a tutorial on youtube, but don't have the link. The formula they use I believe is for average everyday batteries, ex. they don't mention batteries made for car audio like, Kinetik, XS, Stinger, Deka, etc. That give high power in short bursts. Decaf
50-60ah per 1000w rms seems to work well

Bumpindemlowzz
50-60ah per 1000w rms seems to work well Nathan at xs power said its best to go by maximum amps rather then amp hours because with car audio you need alot of power at a moments call not a little bit of power for hours. Back then CA and CCA numbers were very meaningful; however, for mobile audio use, immediate burst output is more important. XS Power batteries, when compared to the batteries of yesteryear, deliver much more power more quickly. This instant burst energy is what we call “MAX amps”. also: AH capacity is measured in hours. AH is most commonly used to rate deep-cycle type batteries, or any type of battery used for relatively low discharge rates across an extended period of time but anyways 2010 Silverado 18" DC XL 18 DC 2k XS Power Batts

Ah is good to get a general idea of capacity for long slow drains, but for big power for amplifiers you should look at Max Amps and the wattage capability XS POWER Batteries, Chargers & Accessories 888-4XS-POWER
