Well went to a Street Beatz show yetersday. I had a problem with my head unit blinking out. I couldn't get a full run. I ended up 2nd with 144.8 @ the dash and 140@ the head rest. Port wars I did 161.8 ....Came in 2nd to a 161.9. Well today I'm pulling the head unit to check wireing and to see if i can brace it better. I'm going also try to stand the amp rack on end and move the box forward another 8" and sealing off the center port. That will bring the tuneing down to 37hz. I'm tring to play with the ports full length before I start cutting up the tube. I don't want to cut them down until i know where they need to be.

why not cut the ports down and bring tuning up for comps then plug a port to bring it down for music?

Because if I cut the ports down before i know where i want the car tuned to then i have to buy somemore if they are tuned to low. So I want to be sure before I start cutting then up.....They do cost 40 bucks each

Charles the longer the ports are the lower the tuning of the box will be. The shorter the ports are the higher the tuning will be. If you were to cut them down to tune the box higher you could just take one of the ports out of the box and seal it with a piece of wood for daily and would be tuned much lower.

Well got the box moved forward about 4"

Now i need to see how i'm going to mount the amps.

Well got car back together but with 2 ports its down 3db. I'm going to put the port back in and see how she doing.

Ok ...I got a second job so this build will slow down alittle bit. I talked to DJ from Team Nemsis the other night so I guess my 2nd alt will be put on soon. Its pretty safe to say it will be after SBN but thats cool. Nspl doesn't have a show until 3/21 anyway. I may make a few Street Beatz comp before then. Also I did put the port back in . I haven't metered it yet. I don't get home before 7 pm and thats to late for me to be pounding on the car. I'm also planning on tring a fold horn design. Me and a buddy will be building it sunday if it doesn't rain.

Well I have been working 2 jobs so I haven't had time to do anything new to the car. Today I was going to Willington(2hrs one way) to pick up a 200 amp alt for the car. Well the tire blows out on the car and tears off the side skirt of the body kit. Well as things goes. Big system means no spare. I call my brother to pick up the spare and bring it to me. 3 hrs later he shows up. I have 2 sets of ring and tires plus a spare for my car at my house. And would you know it, he get the spare for my Jeep. No big deal. We pull the rim off and go to find a tire place. We get back to the car and some a$$hole has broke out my window and takes my head unit and preamp. I shouldn't be to upset because the the dumb f@$k didn't get the amps,subs,Dell laptop(sitting on the passagner seat or the Term Lab behind the seat. I'll throw my old Pioneer in and I already have a window from the door I replaced. So no down time. I'll meet DJ to the alts on Monday when he gets back from SBN. Sorry guys just needed to vent alittle.

Alright I've been real busy The last few weeks. I haven't really been able to do anything to the mazda. Well sunday I'm going to paint it. I had to rewire the car after the break-in. It was able to do 145.6 a local show last weekend. I going to take it apart to do paint it. And then I really need to get moving so the car will be ready for Slam Session. Guess I'll have some new pics next week.
