LiL PiNoY Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 I have a alpine pdx 1.1000. There are 2 channels on the amp in case u wanted to put 2 subs on the one amp but I only have one sub right now and using channel one but recently I've had trouble with the amp turning off at high volume and want to test channel 2 to see if that is the problem its wire at 2 ohms right now and is wire in parallel with 2 other amps.
MXmike800 Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 i think its cause you have it wired at 1 chan you need an equal load over both chans if you cant then bridge the load over the 2
Boon Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 PDX 1000.1 is a MONO Mono meaning single. Single channel. That's what the .1 represents. The terminals are internally paralleled. If you have an issue with one set of terminals you will have it with the other ones as well. 10.x volts fo' life!
