Hey guys I'm getting a new sub soon. I'm getting a JL 18w3 D2 which is the dual 2ohm version. They also make a 4ohm version. This subs going on a Hifonics TITAN amp, which is rated for 500watts. I dont plan on putting in a new alt or anything. I will probally will do the big3, to ensure there will be no voltage drop. Just wondering what you guys think? Wondering if anyone has a set up with this such sub, and wondering what kind of numbers will be possible with this setup. This is going in a Eclipse hatchback also. Like i said just give me feedback and what ever else.

ur db is going to be determined by the box you build and how well you do at building it. im not one that is good at determining just how loud it might be on a meter since i dont own one myself but with 500rms i assume , prob 135db or something if lucky

2 AQ 10'' HDC3 copper subs

1 3500d AQ amp

146.3db on TL with stock electrical in single cab truck at 32hz

RESULT: 1st place at comp, 3rd overall out of 20 cars

That is a ridiculous number. It will surpass that easly. I know that for sure. My 12s hit lower 140s

I dont think JL makes an 18.

Do you mean a 13w3?

If so. Not the best subs for SPL numbers and certainly not alot of power.

I think it will be in the high 130s to maybe 140.

But no one can tell until you install and test.

the enclosure is the most important part.
