I can post some pics but it would be alot neater if someone in the area had a video camera. I'll use the 30 gig iPod with an Alpine CDA-9856 and the iPod connection for the CDA-9856. For now though I'm going back to cleanning, as said before I hate cleanning so got to do it while I'm in the mood. Ok.. let me know because that is my exact setup too.. Damn did a 24 hour run of cleanning and pulled out alot of trash but it still doesn't look like I have done much cleanning. I think I'm going to need to start to sell some stuff off. I've got some AB VFL 10s I want to sell put I have no way to tell if they are in mint condition amd I hate to sell speakers because I can't garruntee that they work perfect like I can with amps. Anyone local that I can deal with in person I've got 2 VFL 10s $300 for the set local pick up or meet up and they should be in mint condition, used acouple of weeks until I flipped my car. ISO Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 Well my results say yes the EQ settings from the iPod do come through the Alpine to iPod docking cable. I used 50 hertz test tone and I did have my house speaker hooked up at the same time I had my meters hooked up. What I needed the video camera for was to make a video of the DMM. After I used the test tone for the pics I used Bass Boy-I love big speakers and jumped back and forth between bass boost and bass reduce and I noticed a decent amount of difference from the voltage comming out of the amplifier while I was playing the same song at the same volume. The setup: iPods EQ at off: iPods EQ with the bass boost on: Again I used 50 hertz and look at the wierd signal I got with the bass boost on. (edit) my O-scope went from 5Ms to 1Ms and thats why my scope looks funny.) Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one.
