Does coil look burnt?

I was recently having problems with my system I think I solved but did I clip my coils into burning??!

dont mind the DMM jumping had it on the wrong setting...

Thats the color of the coil all over its like a tint of darker copper and then light than darker doesnt look like burn marks, just looks like some type of paste was put on it, but im just being a worry wart and being safe.

The reason I thought it was burned was because well I've never really known what a burned or new coils hould look like, I thought the carper looked too dark (was a ligther brown tint) and the tops of the coils where the cardboard looking material is, theres a thick black paste thought that was from coil burning do they put soem type of glue on the coil that would make them look darker and have a grease like residue? just hoping I didnt hurt my subwoofer guys... I just got it two weeks ago, had problems I was clipping it pretty decent, unhooked it turned amp down and im just hoping coils arent burned.

Wait so they're actually burned? I found a picture of my subwoofer when I first got it, and somehow luckily it showed half the voice coil, they looked about the same color, are you sure they looked burned because I thought I was being overly paranoid... does nobody know what a healthy coil looks like? lol

Like is the copper supposed to have dark tints to it? is it supposed to be bright orangy? or should it be that color? Im not sure its driving me insane because I dont know what a burned coil looks like argh, ive compared mine to ones online and they look about the same... maybe its a glue Fi used on the coil that makes it look darker/pasty?

The WHOLE coil is like that, like some parts might have a darker coil strand some have a light coil strand, id charring or burning of the coil usually bigger gaps with char marks accross the strands instead of each individual strand? would like multiple strands be burnt? haha im such a worryer when it comes to stuff like this, what can you expect when you pay $300 for a woofer

the coil looks dark because of the enamel-coating or something that they put on the coil

i dint say it was burnt i said ive seen worst. so quit worry man its probally not the sub thats the problem. if its not freezing there go to each part of ya system and check it more than once,

Its freezing trust me on that and normally when you say "I've seen worse its not too bad" it means you think its bad lol... Also it's a $300 subwoofer YES I'm worried :-p I don't want to blow it in 2 weeks and not be covered lol.
