Mine is only about 5 months old and it has the problem. Sucks too because I really like it but having to ground the RCAs and deal with the shabby customer support left a bad taste in my mouth. Their cs made RDs look good. k3n12ock Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 That HU is damn sexy! funny tho... i hear that pioneer doesnt have the best RCA outs... ( i heard some ppl complaining of noise and clippage at higher volumes) but im using the 6000ub and i love it... yes it distorts at anything past 50... (max 63)i love the usb interface for ipods and the OLED display of my pioneer HU... and im sure its the same on this unit... I just grounded mines last night. emmertb Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 My Pioneer clipped for a little bit when I hooked up my new mids/highs amp. I thought it was just the RCA cable cause it was an old one but after switching it out for a new one I realized it was the H/U. What do you guys mean by grounding them, how would you go about doing so? I'm still in love with that H/U though. Glad you posted this cause that just may be my new H/U. JayP Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 If it was black where the blue is on the left side behind the volume knob and the lights on the buttons were green, then I would buy it. I just looked at the 5200hd and yet again it's a color I hate. I want some green lighting to match my cluster and dash.
