Two Questions - 1 for Alt 1 for Fuse

I'm planning on getting a t1500 soon, and my stock alternator with the new battery isn't really getting the job done. Still having massive voltage drops at sustained bass lines. I'm dropping as low as 9 volts. What amp alternator would you guys recommend getting?

Now, if you haven't seen my other topic stating that I've been blowing fuses left and right (power fuses that is), what size would your guys recommend for ~900 watts (current amp) and then 1500-2000 watts (T1500 in the future).

When I upgrade my alternator, I'll probably drop my car off at an audio shop and get them to do a full run of 0 gauge in the engine bay (BIG 3) as I don't have the time to do it myself at the moment so that'll help with the flow of power. And shortly after that when I get my new amp, I'm running 0 gauge power and ground for my amp.. And eventually, a second battery.

I have big-ish plans. Cant' wait!

Look into dcpower alts, great prices, great customer service. As for a fuse on that amp...id use an 60.

And for the fuse, I've been blowing 60s like fucking mad lately. Between Saturday and Sunday, I blew 2 in less than 24 hours. I'm on my 4th 60a fuse with this small ass system.

Thats probably when your voltage drops so low...hence more current pulled thru the fuse. You can throw an 80 in there but youre just waiting for something bad to happen. That amp wont like seeing 9v too many more times before that magic stuff come out of it. So becareful.

Basically size of alt is going to be dependent on cash at hand. Id buy the biggest you can afford....gives you headroom down the road.

x2, I got a great deal on an irraggi alt from dom, I would shop around get some prices theres plenty of people you can talk to and find a good deal on one. Mines in the mail should be here this week. probably wont get around to installing it and doing my build until sometime in march but if you still havent gotten one by then Ill let you know how the 220 amp holds up. It will be charging 2 batteries and Ill be pushing anywhere from 2400-2600 rms. If your planning on staying under like 2500 rms Id say a 220 amp alt should do pretty well though.

Looks like a 200+ is in store for me. But it all depends on what the Honda guys say about my engine tomorrow. Leaking oil atm. Hoping it's just a cracked gasket or something simple. Hoping and praying to god it isn't something like a cracked engine block or something. If it is, so much for that car, so much for my system plans, and so much for driving to school.
