Breakin it in

Recommended Posts

Nope theres no such thing as breaking in i mean theres been countless threads about this..theres no such thing as a break in period for subs

That's why they don't deliver.

Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait.

You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start :D

I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

There is no such thing as breaking in. People think that a sub should be broke in because the suspension is stuff and blah blah blah... If the suspension wasn't stiff. It wouldn't reproduce the frequencies so good. After it wares down a lil. It will hit the lower notes. That's all.

The last subs I got had break in directions in the spec sheet stuff. If yours don't get a hold of Fi and ask them. Then do what the people who build them nd know them inside and out say.

For me breaking in subs or not is a mute point. If they think I am going to baby them for 40 hrs they are nucking futs.

they are going wide open before the screwdriver has even cooled off.

If the company you are getting your sub through suggests a break in time, then break it in. It doesn't matter if it helps or not, but it will you with a warrenty if problems arise. And for the record 90% of subs out there don't a break in time, but some companies like dd and aq tell you very bluntly to break the subs in. And i can tell you from a dealer stand point that breaking in a dd sub is needed. But thats dd, not fi.
