Toady
Sorry for all the posts lately, i've used the search button and checked older posts and i cannot find the answer i need. Alright so i had a stock alt 105 amp with 8 to 10 gauge wire and with my setup in dipped into the 11's. Well im starting the big 3 and i have a 220 high output alternator on the way 110 idle 220 1200 rpm, and i wanted to ask is a second battery needed, will it be alright just to run the new alt, and good batt up front Edited January 20, 2010 by Toady
kl0wn
With the big 3,H/O alt, and a big good battery up front you will be fine. I would put an extra battery in the back just to be safe. Nothing big, just a small extra battery like a HC600 or something along the same lines. basshead4life
that wire would let you safely pull maybe 50 amps at best. Red-navi-916
the more power you have for your amps the better it is,so for every battery that you do add its a gain!]; also if its the equipment in your sig you should be fine with High out put alt Big 3 Nice battery upfront you should be good also maybe 1/0 gauge? sabor
If you can afford it get you a nice deka batt in the back. Do not remove your stock wire just add the 1/0 for the big three. the big batt in back will be nice when you upgrade which you will when you hear the BIG BASS your setup will put out now with your new alt and all.
