protocaster69
I have 2 Power Acoustik MOFO 15s (not great i know lol but it was cheap) I have a regular cab toyota truck and I would like to do a bandpass box with just the port coming into back of the cab (blow thru) Would the fact that the rest of the box is in the bed make me lose alot of sound? Sampsonite
Nope. I've designed a few like that with good results Quote --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
Ray
that is a very stiff sub for bandpass. 6th order is what you are wanting to do. protocaster69
Thats why the first thing that ran thru my mind when brainstorming for the truck was to check here EXO... haha I love your van BTW... I agree with the 6th order being a better idea... I was thinking about it but didn't know exactly what it was called... How do you figure out the size the box needs to be? I've got plenty of room to work with... I appreciate the help guys...
protocaster69
I have been doing research on building 6th order boxes but I can't figure out how decide how big each side of the box needs to be or how to tune it.
Sampsonite
Do both in the same chamber, 1ft^3 @ 65hz rear, and 2ft^3 at 33hz front, looking at 33-85hz Fs: 33.5 Hz Vas: 1.4 cu.ft. protocaster69
Ok... I have had another idea... What if... I built a passive radiatior set up with the 2 15s facing the tailgate and 4 12" PRs in the cab? I've found all the calculations to tune it and stuff like that... I think it would be a cool idea but I'm curious about how effective this would be...
Neo_frog
I say stick with one kind of sub. The 6th order would be your best bet. Or just keep it in the cab and save all the trouble of cutting. Quote Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions?
