What subs should i run

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for hard hitting 10's that don't need over 500watts that can be in a ported enclosure around 4ft3 maximum. This will be in a 1998 jeep wrangler tj and will be downfiring or front firing. The subs need to perform well in the open air cuz i like having the soft top off. I prefer to stick with 10's but 12's are also an option.

1998 Jeep Wrangler Tj Sport 4.0L

Front Speakers:Boston 746

Rear Speakers:Boston CX-6

Speaker Amp:Kenwood KAC-526

thats gonna be super fuckin hard bro im telling you right now. that kind of a budget for "hard hitting" bass just isnt easy.

well i heard my homies 3 kenwood 12's 2 are the 3011's and one is 3012 and they are in a ported box i think the box is 5 and a half cubic feet and the subs are wired to 1ohm on a 1800watt kenwood at 1ohm and the hit hard and really deep.

thats what i want is hard hitting deep bass but not for alotta money i will spend up to 500$ on both the amp and subs. but id rather stay cheaper becuz im in highschool with not alotta money.

Based on your budget id get two Kicker cvr 10s and a ZX mono amp they are within your reach and they will give you the sound your looking for.

buy one get one free good warranty and dealer brand new 500RMS each and can be wired to 1 OHM.

$164 for bstock refurb sundown 1200D thing will be perfect for those subwoofers... the extra $50 you save will go towards materials for a box, this system should wang for well under $500.

tell your buddy to not mix subs. thats probably the worst thing to do regarding installing subwoofers next to clipping.

two audioque sdc2.5 10's, 1200rms each (129 each) on a hifonics bxi1610d (220) will be louder than your friend probably.

if you want a cheaper amp, get the bxi 1210d (200 flat)

btw box materials and GOOD wiring will cost some more
