question about my boys system

I had two 15" Kicker COMP dual 4's lying around (250RMS pce) in a sealed box (thats rather big) yes we are going to build him a ported box for them but for now this is fine they get down nicely... my question is HOW MUCH LOUDER will they be facing the rear of the van as opposed to being upfront aimed towards to windows? if any louder... this is a cargo van so it's really big. when we put the box upfront aimed towards the windows it was getting DOWN the roof was flexing a lot the rear doors were shaking, everything upfront was wiggling and moving, but I know for a fact these 15's should get down harder than that in a van because my boy has 2 12's in his SUV (diff dude) facing the back hatch and they friggin POUND...

the reason I want to know before testing is I need about 15ft of good wire to do this.

Van more then likely has more area to fill then the SUV and also the 12's could be better subs.

ONLY way to tell which is best is to try it, but going by ear isn't a very good way to tell as you really need to put it on the meter. Whichever placement hits lower will sound louder to the ear...

im not THAT worried about it... I just figured the front of the van aimed towards the windshield it was losing A LOT of power, the 12's my other friend is running are better but only a little and it shouldnt matter much since he's running less RMS than my boy in the van... I figured two 15's @ 500RMS would wang in a van but I'm not sure the best place to put it.

Yeah I figured, how would I place a sealed box though? for now until I make the new vented box. just aim them at the back or at the roof

fire the sealed towards the rear of the van and close to the doors ( about 6 inches ) this allows the subs to load off the doors and should be louder than up front if not i bet it flex's like hell

this or wall it off,seal it off from the rear and fire it forward.
