5-Channel Amps Qeustions and Concerns

So right now I have a Chevy Blazer with all the works described in my signature. Recently the motor went bad and needs to be rebuild. At the moment i'm driving a 97 dodge full size van, and i will be for quite sometime cause i've decided to sell my blazer after i get the motor fixed. In the van the speakers are old and outdated and has the most basic cd player in there. I'm going to use my headunit from my Blazer and wiring, and my MB quarts comps in the front. MB quarts 6x9"s for the rear. I'm not going for loudness as much as i am sound clarity in this van cause I plan on getting a new ride sometime before may, I just need a setup until then. I'm gonna run two mtx 12" jackhammers in the back. I came across the possibility of a 5-channel amp that way i can make one purchase and be good for a while. However, I never heard or seen people talk/use them often so I'm asking you guys, the people of SMD your thoughts and opinions. The amps i have in mind are as of the following:

Crunch P5000.5

Crunch Amp

Hifonics ZXi 8010

Hifonics Amp

Kicker 08ZX700.5

Kicker Amp

I also came across:

If you guys have anymore that you want to share by all means let me know.

One of my only concerns is, if i'm running all my mids/highs at 4 ohms. Would i be able to run the 5-channel/sub channel at 2ohm or must i keep it at 4 too?

Like i said, temp setup. $400 is out of the picture. Guess i should have put a budget limit up. I'm not wanting to go over $300 give or take $50.

Out of those I would definitely go with the Kicker.

the punch1000 is like the best 5channel around

if youre just running jackhammers and want good sq, the boston 5 channel is pretty sick too

the sq guys usually run 5 channels cuz theyre not looking for tons of sub power, if you need anything more than like 400 watts its time for dedicated sub amps. the reason you never see them on here is because everyone is running thousands of watts

Was an idea, saw these RF amp in the last days here in the forum, didnt read ur list of amps before. Otherwise RF Power amps r an ampline in itself,

u can have years and years of good sound and fun with them, and u can get a good price if u resell them, espacialy that it is a high quality special-edition.

Yes, you can run the amp at 4-ohms for the front speakers and at a 2-ohm load for your sub.... just can't wire your sub down to a 1-ohm load since the amp is not 1 ohm stable..... there is only one amp I have heard of where the amp will only allow one specific ohm-load across all channels, but I can't think of the brand.... hope that helps some!

i have installed several 700.5 and they work well ..the power 1000 is a beast of an amp not vey efficient..it can draw up to 250 amps thats gonna kill factory electrical buy the time u get the electrical to back it its doubled ur cost ..that 700.5 will work good has good flexibility ands want kill ur electrial...

LOL come on... that is totally subjective

especially when the Audison LRx5.1k is better quality all the way around.
