I seen this before, phoenix gold, american bass, etc... This is the same amp that the Asians are making and selling to everyone. What i find funny is the post by AQ that they have been working on it for a year... I wonder if they were just talking email... It is sad that the industry came to this, imagine if ford, chevy, kia, toyota, infinity all tried to market the same car, just a different name/badge it would come down to who is the cheapest selling it.

When I get a break later this week I will look at who is making the amp... bet I can find it cheaper :) And I do not mind screwing over the warehouse box shufflers that they call themselves a manufacturer... If I only had more time in the day...

It's a Zenon. South Korean, 3S driver board.

Same as (although upscaled...):

Hifonics

Atomic

Cactus

American Bass

Celestra

Schneider

Sundown

Some DD

Incriminator Audio

Some RD

Adassa

SPL Dynamics

E-Audio

I'm sure there's more out there.

car companies did do it too, remember the whole dsm thing? eagle talon/mitsu eclipse/plymouth laser?

ford taurus and mercury sable? chevy blazer and gmc jimmy?

each company does something a little different, whether its pricing, aesthetics, or slightly different parts, and thats why a dozen different companies can start off with the same board and end with different results/reliability/prices

Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build

monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now)

We still have a lot of testing before I make a decision on whether or not to bring out the amp. All of our amps are proven for quality and reliability and I am not about to bring this amp out before I am sure of the quality and reliability.

While the board on this amp may look similiar to others I can assure you this amp is not the same as those on the market today. We have been working with our buildhouse on this amp for some time now and they are quite excited about it. It is the strongest amp they have ever made, and they make some big ones, but they share the same thoughts I have and that is to take the time to do it right. I have given them an open checkbook and the time to test.

If it does what we think it will do I will bring it out; if it doesn't I will not, it's simple as that.

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
