Ive got a 2007 Dodge Ram Single Cab that I'm about to start modding and such. I just got a new job over at Lockheed Martin, so I'm about to start making some serious dough. Anyways, I'm thinking about a system right now. I've been doing car audio for about 3 years now, and when it comes to this, I have a hard time figuring out what I should do. I'm thinking of taking out the middle seat, which should allow enough room for a single 12' or 15', I doubt an 18' would fit. What I want to know is, should I go with a bandpass for the middle sub or a ported box? I also plan on building a seperate ported box to fit either 2 12's or 15's behind the seats. The cab is pretty roomy, so I can drive with the seats pretty far up and everything and have tons of room for what I want to do. I guess I just want to know if anyone has experimented with ported and bandpass in the same build or what not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I plan on either going with an Ascendant or Fi 15 for the middle. Thanks guys!
EclipseChris Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 im not super experienced but my opinion is as fallows: if you are going to have 2 boxes one being ported and one undecided i would go with bandpass for the undecided more variety just a thought i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Torres Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 bandpasses can also be quite large. to fit in a middle console, you'd have to go with a smaller sub to accommodate.

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it.
