ok so i bought a used SA-12... its in mint condition but has some mdf dust and regular dust and is just dirty just from being used... what can i use to clean it and make this puppy shine again? i figured i would ask here before using something that could damage the rubber surround or take the paint off of the dome or something like that.... what can i use that is safe to clean it up with and make it shine?

I clean subs all the time, its really easy. Just get a nice clean rag and get it completely wet with warm water. And then squeeze as much water as you can out of it so that its just damp. You don't want the sub trying to absorb the water the rag can't hold. Just squeeze everydrop out of it and wipe the sub. Dry towels can scratch the cone and dustcap. I always blow subs off with the air compressor first to get rid of most of the dirt.

EDIT: Using any kind of cleaners can be risky and usually make it worse, just use a wash cloth.

thanks guys... i asked because ive used F1 spray protectant on the type r's i used to have and it really made them look great... but the cone and surround are different materials than the SA-12... so ill just stick with a damp washcloth...
