Forevrbumpn Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 I needed to get rid of some parts, that I WONT part with, I will only build up with, so I decided to build up a woofer using a heavy gauge 17.5 gauge, 4 layer copper wire coil, dual 0.45ohm, 2" winding width- Triple 9" spiders, and stiff surround, and heavy duty cone. This beast isnt based on excursion, but just LOUD Low end bass response, a great bass racer sub, or someone who likes to go low I can build one more of these on request, the parts are readily available This sub shows a very high efficiency that I don't even believe, yet its just a calculated eff of 101db with a Fs of 26hz I would like to think its more closer to 94db Also, used is Knukoceptz 8gauge for direct leads Here are some pics Asking $300 each, and will cut a deal shipped, or if your local pick up, you will get a great deal I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Nightshade Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 I'm curious if you would build this same setup into a 15 with an 8 layer flat wound aluminum coil? The reason why I am aksing is because my team captain is looking at running a pair of Mojo's in his Cavy that he did a 153 in before with the setup in the trunk. Since these are the same motors and you have parts to build them into pretty much whatever he may be interested in buying a pair of 15's from you. He ran the quad 1 ohm Mojo's before so I'm not sure exactly what impedence he would need since there are quite a few options with that coil configuration.
