Okay, so I recently upgraded power and Wiring to my sub.

Lately I've noticed that it got really silent. I didn't turn the gain down or anything.

I have no idea what it is but the longer I play it(10-20 seconds) with the knob on it gets real silent and starts getting distorted.

I do not play my knob for more than 20 seconds at a time and my gain is only on 2, but the first week I had it in it was slammin'.

If anyone has any idea what this is please help me, I've never had this problem before.

If it was slammin after you put the new wiring in and now its not so much, you may have blown a coil and only running on one coil, I would check that out. Only thing I can think of.

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

Have you watched your voltage over that 20 second period?

No, I don't have a volt meter or anything, I think My electrical is pretty decent, Kinetik HC 1400 in the back, Optima up front, 0 gauge.

My lights don't dim at all.

I don't think I'm at scary numbers yet.

I just did, it isn't loud but it doesn't seem like It's getting more quiet as it plays.

but it is hard to tell.

I'll be getting the big 3 done soon. I don't know how it could be my voltage considering it was playing fine for a week.

Get the dmm out and test coils

you just upgraded amps right?

did you use the same bass knob and cable or did you change that out too?

I'm pretty sure the bass knobs are the same, Crump has the one I have for the same amp.

The newer P series knobs are the same as the newer T series.
