rmzsuzuki89 Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 The motors are in the rear chamber here. It's something me and my gf kinda just threw together in a weekend so she can have a lil bass. The wood, subs, and amp all came from the attic lol. They've been sitting up there forever, so we put them to use....Can't wait to get some good gear in there. rubbernutz1 Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 i dont know how you wanna use your subs, for comps or just slammin as u cruise, but the cheaper amps work to you know. ya the sundowns and the big us amps work great for competitions but if you just want to listen to it as u ride id say get the cheaper stuff. not to sound cheap or anything but hell even a few 1500 crunch monos will run your stuff. i got 2 of them on my 8 12"s and it sounds pretty good. hell even if you fry one then your not out an ass load of $$ to replace it. you can pick up 2 of them for less than $500 easy. :hairtrick: Quote

They're not bad amps, wouldn't be my 1st choice, but not bad by by any means. That way if it goes bad (assuming it isn't miss used) and they will fix it. Maybe it is ok with you to buy junk because it is cheap and you can replace it but not me. Ndnkobra Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 I've been reading through these posts and i'm still unsure about what kind of setup do you actually want? thats the first thing. you were aiming for 8 12's before, so i guess SPL? Let one of these guys know how much cubic space you have to work with in your trunk, and they can point you in the right direction Quote

Let one of these guys know how much cubic space you have to work with in your trunk, and they can point you in the right direction x2. measure your trunk with height width and depth that your willing to sacrifice for woofers (leaving room for amps and batteries etc) and your TOTAL budget. I agree with this...There are some Sundown's floating around out there for a great price, I think I saw one for like $525 plus shipping...Hopefully it doesn't sell for a couple weeks cause I need 2 more 3000D's lol jk. OP: How much money are you want to spend for everything? And try and get a couple measurements when you can. ^^^Again, beat me to it^^^ I need to go eat or something and hope I can come back typing faster.
