why do i predict this ends badly if he follows through.

ok once this 2 feet of snow melts im off to the the junk yard for some shopping

Make your life much easier and try to find one that is for your model car. Otherwise if need by early 90's Lincoln Town car ones are fairly universal. I believe they are the 90-93 towncars or something like that.

yea i was looking at the Lincolns there are a lot of them at the yard and they have pretty big ones

They are either 38" or 42". If you are able to find the old school lincoln with the 44's you can get good money for those. Otherwise mid 70's Lincolns also had an option of either gold or rose colored ones...those pull a premium as well, but are hard as hell to find.

im tellin you, convertible is the only way to go :D

If you go that route there is a TON of extra bracing that needs to be done to ensure the body of the car doesn't bend and tweak. It is usually pretty easy to tell a converted car if you look at the door seems becuase they are never straight. Always a bigger gap at the top or bottom of the door seem. Wouldn't hurt to do extra support bracing on the frame if you go that route either.
