tacomabanga1986
well im lookin at gettin another set of hids with hi/low beams n logan on here said he had a set of the same brand and said he liked them so i was gunna ask some qustions 1.what kinda hi/low setup do they have is it a.secondary halogen bulb for high beam b.secondary hid bulb c.have a relay that moves the bulb so it has high beam 2.is there any noticable difference in the 55w option on this kit? 3. will the 55w option change the kelvin color any? 4. will the 55w option make the headlight houseing any hotter? 5. what color kelvin should i get? I want a more of a whiter light than my 8000k's, i got me a stanley hid spotlight and i want a bulb around that color or more of a natural light but not pure white, somethin along the lines of 4300k or 6000k, the blue light makes everything look green n shit n i cant really see that well with it 6. is this a reliable kit? here are pics of there bulbs, im gunna be getting the h4 hi/low kit https://www.ddmtuning.com/content/techtips/bulbguide_low.pdf 7. do they come with relay harness or any kinda wires to hook it up? 8. since i have a 8000k 35w hid kit should i still get the same thing but with hi/low so i dont halfto spend an extra $15 for relay plus the 55w balasts? i dont use a relay kit for my hids, my factory wires are large enough for the current flow here is the kit http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p=produ...2&parent=85 why i ask so many questions is im gunna order these tonight so i can get em as soon as possable cause im tired of haveing no high beam, n trying to get just low beams passed for inspection too need help ASAP! so i can go ahead and order, i kno futurevisionhids are better n what knot but i aint really got the funds to spend $250 or so on a good kit when i can get just as good as the ones i already have now cheaper, i gave $200 for the ones i got now so $35-$40 is a hell alot cheaper than what ive got now and if i like em enough i'll get a 9004 kit for my geo Quote here's a link to my system 99 toyota tacoma , 2 mtx 8000 1504's in a sealed downfire , 1000w memphis amp here's a link to my other system my 90 geo prizm test car heres a thread i got of new songs u can dl that are legal = Some Good Bangage/you Can Dl These Free And Legit
loganberry
ill help you how i can but i am no hid specialist the 55w kit washes out some of the color, the reason i got 8ks is because i wanted it to look like 6k and they do, so whatever color you get expect it to be the lower one in 35w, in my kit it was 1 bulb and a extra high low splitter bow that came with it, idk how the bulb itself works but the highs are WAY brigther and i can see to mars, i havnt had my kit for too awful long but the time ii have i kick myself wondering why i didnt get them before, they have a LIFETIME warrenty on the products which i think kicks ass, my kit came with every single thing i needed and it took all of 20 mins to do, and tbh i dont see futurevision being so much better that its 140 more, please dont mean im flamming them, but if my kit is reliable and long lasting like im sure it will be i think its way more cost efficient Quote My F-150 Build GET ON THE BANDWAGON what if they tried messing with the amps when the subs werent louder hahah jk
tacomabanga1986
thats the kinda reviews i like to hear and i like my 8000k's but its a lil harder to see with the blueish light and i live back in the sticks were there a shit ton of deer n what knot so i need somethin to see good wit my hids look alot like my old halogen's did but brighter, they were 55w low beam and 100w highbeam n dimmed like hell when the bass hit n i couldn't see in the rain for shit with em i guess i'll order these, i dont need the 55w kit i dont think, i got plastic houseings so i dont want to melt em or anything off to get a h4 hi/low 8000k kit, how fast was shipping for u? treossi
i don't think they will get hot enough to melt plastic housings, i have 35w 6k's, and they don't get very hott at all, and are very bright Quote Team sundownWESTCOASTSPL.COM we're throwing dbdrag events very soon visit the website for details

somerandomguy
7. do they come with relay harness or any kinda wires to hook it up? Umm.. I just looked, it doesn't look like ddm hid kits come with the harness lol.. I don't know how they expect you to hook them up rofl. You need the harness (one side goes to a ballast, battery, ground, stock plug for your stock headlights [so they know when to turn on and when to be lowbeam/highbeam - if you have bixenon] and the other side goes to the other ballast, and ground..) without this harness, you can't even plug them in lol Ah, here it is.. http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p=produ...3&parent=94 you have to buy it by itself .. it seems by there site that you don't need it.. but without it, you CAN'T even connect to the battery - so.. wtf? (unless for some weird reason your car came with the special connections [it didn't.. unless maybe it came with stock HIDs - I dunno how they work]) Edited February 10, 2010 by somerandomguy
tacomabanga1986
u do not need to run a relay harness to run hids, i got a set of 35w 8000k maxcarR hids in my truck n they have no harness, it just plugs into factory headlight pulgs n wala the only reason u will ever need a relay harness is due to the gauge wire for ur factory headlights it even says on the site that u do not need a relay kit for most cars, but some do need em and yes a relay kit will make em light up a lil bit faster n wont put as much strain on the factory wires but on some vehicles it is not needed so i'll be good with it heres a link to some info on the brand hids i have, they seem to be pritty good from the reviews i found but ya u dont need a relay harness for most cars when u run a 35w hid kit, but when u get into the 55w hi/low or low beams it will put more strain on ur factory wires n make em get hot so it helps to have a relay harness, but for my case i only got the 35w kit so i dont need it Quote here's a link to my system 99 toyota tacoma , 2 mtx 8000 1504's in a sealed downfire , 1000w memphis amp here's a link to my other system my 90 geo prizm test car heres a thread i got of new songs u can dl that are legal = Some Good Bangage/you Can Dl These Free And Legit

Tek
so 55W 8000K's will be the same color as 35W 6000K's, but brighter? Will that piss people off if it's used on low beams? Will the headlamp melt?
