mr.p Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 my explorer had a stock 130A alt, and i was able to run 1500w all day no problem (crunch gp3000D-pro@2ohm) then when i stepped it up to 3000w i would get drops into the 10's with a yellowtop underhood. DCAUDIO BALLS DEEP
HHR Ed Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 my HHR has a 120A stock alty and with a 10,000w amp I would never drop below 12.9v. I had 10 batteries, they are small batteries, XS Power D925s,, and AGM so ESR is low and they are easy to charge. Stock alternator charged the batts easy. I also never had the batteries drained too much. They kept up really good.
