Thenumber1z Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 I was woundering, would it be better to mix match brands. or stay with everything the same? I mean i'm running a kicker 650.4, Kicker sub's and kicker back coax. Hifonics sub amp. and hifonics door speakers. When I upgrade my doors, and back speakers do I go with a different brand, or with kicker ? I plan to change the sub amp to a kicker 1500.1 unless there is a better option. But if you have two cvr 12's and two sa-12's, I could see it sounding weird and phase issues or maybe even a few angels dying for mixing the two together... rubbernutz1 Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 id say its all a matter of opinion. some ppl like to keep it all the same and some dont care. personally i go for how the stuff sounds rather than just buying a brand name. btw i got 8 channels of old skool kicker highs/mids in my van and they sound pretty good with some power behind them. CJ18 Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 i wouldnt worry about mix and match when it comes to your amps and speakers but i would use the same brand speakers and not mix and match them. Quote
BulletInjection Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 attack of the huge sigs LOL correct I really don't think it matters with speakers, just subs. They are all built differently with different specifications Quote My build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...8920&st=100 http://www.youtube.com/Bulletinjection
