edog
I am looking for amps to power my 4-lvl4 xl 18"s which would be better for my set-up.My subs are dual 2-ohm so I could run the Soundigital at 1-ohm all 4 subs or run an audioque 2200d on each sub at 1-ohm. I'd get 1 amp, easier on the install, and you wont have worry about gains on each amp etc, much easier man.

wL<3bass
Also have to account impedance rise with one amp will be much greater than with 4.... I'd go with the 4 amps > 1 Quote Vehicle: 1997 S10 Blazer 4dr 4X4 Exterior: Rear End Bagged, Black Grill, Lifted 2" Amplifiers: Rockford Fosgate T8004 & T10001bd Batteries: 2 Stinger SPV35, Kinetik HC2400 Electrical: Big 3, DC Power 290amp Alternator w/ MLA at 15.5v Enclosure: 4.2 ft³ @ 33Hz 84sq.in. of port (20sq.in. per cube) Headunit: Eclipse CD3200 w/ 80G iPod Mids/Highs: Rockford T152s (a-pillars), Rockford T162s (doors) Subwoofers: 1 15" Fi BL Fully Loaded Wire: All 1/0g Kicker Hyperflex My YouTube Videos My Fiberglass A-Pillar Build My "Seamless" Looking Box Build My DD1508 T-Line Bandpass Build "Seamless" w/ Acrylic Windows (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Stealth 8" Fiberglass Build (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Build For A Friend's '08 Cobalt 15" BL Sealed Off From The Trunk My feedback/references... kirill007
wL<3bass I think it's the other way around, 1 amp has less imp rise. Quote Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
Destram
wL<3bassI think it's the other way around, 1 amp has less imp rise. I was under the impression that what he said was correct. 1 amp = more imp rise with multiple subs. Someone wanna set this straight? EricR
id get the 4 audioques. strap a pair on each pair of xl's. if something goes wrong with the sd you will not have any power while the amp is being repaired/replaced, with the 4 aq's there is a very slim chance all 4 amps will go out at once and if one or two go then you still have 2 amps. also have to account for imp. rise like stated above. my .02 Quote i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
