Personal Video Of Monster Power Cable Lies

Recommended Posts

took this today at Frys Electronics when i bought my new infinity reference series 4" speakers.

this rig was basically to show people the effects of voltage when you have a longer or shorter power cable (first red slider) and the "peak" power wattage your amp is rated at (second red slider)

th_Video046.jpg

the blue cable is 8 gauge, red is 4 and silver is 0.

dude same shit happened at the Fry's electronic store by me, the 8 gauge wasn't even in the fuse holder

I would literally shit bricks if I saw 9 volts though

lol yea me too, the "sliders" were on like 15ft and 1000w peak though thats why

It's not like they actively measure voltage drop through the wire.

It's just a circuit board in the back with sliding resistors and the wire is for visual aid.

yea i figured that but still, they couldnt actually do it? they had to make it all complicated and simulate the stuff
