Its left over from back when I had my Beretta...Id run four 15s sealed for daily...and at showtime Id pop out two subs and drop in 2 of these to make it a Meter Beater..So no im wondering if i could do the same with the Cavalier. But i havent a clue.....as to how Id figure it all out....ie.......how big the ports have to be....how long the ports have to be.....

So...........enclosure designers......what info do you need from me........in order to halp me figure this out....

1:NET Airspace inside the enclosure (having subtracted the 4 woofers, bracing, and Port volumes-assuming you're gonna have 2 ports & 4 subs)-however once you lengthen/shorten them ports (if u do) their volume will have to be recalculated in/out.

2: Desired Tuning freq.

Pretty much it I think (anyone correct me if I missed anything)

Basically once you know exaclty how much AIRSPACE you have avail, you can change the port length (usually area TOO but in this case NOT SD/area...only if you weren't set on using those ports you could) to achieve a certain tuning freq. and hopefully you have around 16in^2 per ft^3/volume or you could have port noise.

or if you have a way to meter, like a rta, or termlab, you can do a guestimated port, test it, then cut as needed to change port tunning. but start off with the longest, largest area port possible, then cut down from there... that port looks about right for 4- 15s tho.

damn i hate working on sundays

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
