baaudio
im going to be running a single kicker zx1500.1 pushing 2 15" L7. was shooting for 2500 but money wasnt there and im impatient haha. but im putting a 130 amp alt on my explorer because its a simple step up and i got it cheap. ive done big three in all 0 gauge and im going to run 0 to my amp. i currently have 4 running my zx1000. anyways im really just wondering if you guys really think im going to need a second battery. im not planning on playing it without the car running but i dont want a huge voltage drop when it hits thats going to cause clipping cuz subs arent cheap. i was thinking a hc1800 or hc1400 or an xsd5100. any help appreciated guys Quote Team NWSPL baaudio Build Log 2001 GMC Sierra walkthrough 4 Mechman Elite 370s, 10 AGM batteries, 3 Crossfire XS v2 18s, Crossfire 8k
arnold1992
well a larger alternator will be better if you can get that and second batt is better than none but voltage drop will be decided by the alt... uhoh_45
missing link audio module it changes your voltage up to around 15.4 volts or so stock alt and higher voltage FTW Quote R.I.P! Mosin
uhoh45 - How would an MLA Module help his situation? I mean I see how its good with say a 200amp alt along with a few batts but being as he would be running a near stock set-up, how is an MLA Module gonna help him? Is it gonna cut down on voltage drop? I mean say his stock idles at 14.4 and bass hits and drops it to 11.2. Does that mean the module will only allow it to drop that from 15.3 to 12volts? Quote Derp.
