Let's talk Air compressors/air tools

Recommended Posts

I will tell you this. If you plan to run it hard at all running die grinders and such, do not but an oil free compressor. you will melt the orings that they use as a piston ring in those units.

i bought this a couple years ago, and recommend it but it might not be up to your guys standard Craftsman

I run my impact guns, air ratchets, and anything i throw at it. i dont really use it for grinders and cutters, i have plasma cutters and dewalts for that type of stuff.( just a suggestion.)

Portable are good compressor...The bigger the better but wouldn't need that big if not doing big project work. Make sure your compressor have the power it need. Some need 120 and other higher, but the smaller compressor will work on 120 outlet..

I'm looking at the Campbell Hausfeld 60-Gallon from lowes too,

Need to sand and re-finish the deck in the back yard, paint the frame and belly of two cars, uss a DA sander for a few fiberglass projects.

Probably end up selling the whole thing though after Im done with both of these cars here and downgrade to a smaller portable unit for tire inflating and little things like that.
