The Big Oki
Hi there! Sad day for me last week on Feb 16th. Some people announce their new cars and projects, but I have to announce a "farewell" here. I think my loved Ü2 car deserves that. So much memories, stories, adventures beside all "unimportant" titles or 1st places. It gave so much good times and happy faces (not just of girls LOL) to me and the people I visited. I "transported" the "SQPL" spirit into the states (after one first try in 2001, some may remember that) and other parts of the "world" and had more fun demonstrating the car back in 2002 in Nashville so that the participating at the dB Drag Racing world finals was more a "side effect" lol. I did more than 200 competitions (SPL AND SQ) all in all and drove well over 100 000 km in that little white, old crappy, stationwagon with its incredible 60 horsepowers It was no sudden byebye, I made this choice during the years. Its just natural. Others just throw away their old cars. I cannot do that. Some may laugh about me, but some will understand. You find here some words in german, but also a little mixed collection of pictures from the beginning til the end of my Ü2 car. I wouldnt go that far that tears rolled down my eyes, but some memories bring me close to that ByeBye Ü2, my old friend. "Rust In Peace". (but not in Silence, or lets say "Rust to Pieces" LOL) But anyways: SQPL4EVER! http://www.realsqpl.de/byebyeue2/byebyeue2.html Ü MM Üüüühh!!! Michael www.SQPL.de Rulez! The Big Oki
Thanks for all the kind words. You all wanna see tears finally hu? The rims are from "ZENDER", a german wheel manufacturer. But they are veeeeery old design! I also had these kinds of my old Mercedes E-Class from 1985! I was a little sad about them also. But what should I do? I cannot mount them on my other cars. And putting away the 18" from my S-Class or the 20" from my TÜRANN makes no real sense LOL I guess they were 100mm and 4 holes. But they have been available in many variations. If your car is 1992, they would have fit maybe! Üüüühh!!! Michael www.SQPL.de Rulez!
