I know you said at ca.com, its not worth it to recone, but appearpently, alpine has a good motor there, send it to scott, abd have him make you some insane hybrid type r. The only problem with trying to get a recone for it is that the 10" only has a 2" coil, and it's an awkward diameter. On top of that, it has dual spaced spiders with integrated tinsel leads. It would be VERY difficult to get a recone to work with this setup. And it would cost just as much to recone this one as it would be to just buy a whole new sub. Not really worth the hassle. And like I said, it would cost more money to do all this crap than it would be to just buy a new sub. And there's no guarantee that this hybrid woofer would be better anyways.
