No My Pathfinder

well today we went to a mechanic and said my car needs a new engine or overhaul for $3,500 for a new engine or a overhaul.....He said I better sell it but I love this car to much and need to make my decision soon....Sell pathy or get the engine or overhaul done...I love this car way to much and put to much hard work into it...Feels like I wanna cry that my engine is messed up . I need some suggestion but will make my final decision but tell me what the best thing will be because this is my baby and I don't know what to do....HELP!!!! :(

whats wrong with your motor and where did you go looking, the nissan dealer? Sounds expensive for a car that old.....but i dont know. Seems like you could get a new motor for less then a grand for that car but again i dont know for sure.

I wish I can find a pathfinder like that one and just swap the old stuff into the new one or get a engine magically from somewhere and have low miles on it....

I had a Pathfinder, let me tell ya if you ever have to replace the water pump, take it to a mechanic, I am pretty mechanicly inclined and I ended up bending all the rods because I coulding get the motor to lock up, you have to take the harmonic balancer off to change the god damn water pump.

ohh and those engines are dime a dozen at the local nissan recycler.

Nismo, their called ATTARCO look them up and give them a call! in Japan when a car reaches 35,000 miles it is required to replace the engine, so lucky for us Americans this company (ATTARCO) buys the old engines and sells them to us!!!

Yah but that noise is funny....Said it something messed up with the cam shaft or gears...Who knows!!!

Yah david....I don't think it is the water pump...When you hear it....seems like a big problem...I am no mechanic but sound awful..Sounds like my car is going to RIP stage

Thanks man...I will surely look up that site...But you never know the true millage on the vehicle it comes from but it is worth a try man...Thanks for the site will look it up....I don't know if $3,500 is alot....Seems like it or is it me....
