ribeiro953
its what lets air in and exhaust out of the cylinders. it starts off as a minor ticking and the gradually turns into what you got there. here check this out http://autorepair.about.com/cs/troubleshoo.../a/bl303a_2.htm if its not that its your rod bearing and thats a costly repair only way to see is if you take off your oil pan Jeffrey Ribeiro Co-Founder Gold Leaf Consultants E: [email protected] www.GoldLeafConsultants.com CA refs: abdulwq, jordyo, sgdenny, shinju, bannok SMD refs: Assman, zfrerichs, shinju, Loganberry CCA refs: jordyo, SR SQ, nothing13, Mat-Romain, JohnnyRock1588, Brandon, KingRukus, SPDDMON, BlitzSix CA feedback thread http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.p...384#post5068384

BassJunkie
All it sounds like is a bad camshaft, my buddies old dakota had the same sound. Sounds like its not opening up all the valves on one cylinder The guy that checked out said it has a busted cam. I am anyways gonna get a new engine with 1,000 miles this summer. I will take care of that engine so it never gets to the knocking O rly? lol Also, why get an entire engine? Replace the cam, I'm sure that motor has tons of life left on it. 1986 C20 Suburban 9 American Bass XFL 15's B2 M1MKII 14v XS Power Batteries Maxwell Caps Acoustical energy is free.
