abervintageman42 Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 i recently installed a new headunit that only has 1 rca wire for the sub output on the back of it, i was wondering what i should do to solve this b/c i know that one of my subs is moving ALOT more air than the other so what should i do to make it balanced? just get a 1 male 2 female end to make it work?

Forevrbumpn Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 the reason why there is only 1 RCA out, is because sub bass is MONO, no need to add a second RCA alot of amps will have 1 sub RCA Yellow ( but doesn't stay consistent to yellow)in, and 2 Stereo red/white in. If it concerns you, you can use a Y adapter, or a sub voltage pre amp, or whatever if one of your subs is moving more, that could be a subwoofer issue,. Maybe 1 woofer was newer, and the other maybe you had for awhile, so its broken in nicely? If the box is ported, and the port is closer to one, side, rather than equal distance between the subs, that will cause it also or just wiring the subs completely wrong I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
