you can't hook a single 3ohm coiled sub up as 1.5ohm.... sounds like your running an all pass filter on it...

edit: It could have coil rub or have a shifted magnet from shipping.

You can run these subs at 1.5 ohm if they are ran in parallel.

Yeah no kidding what are you gonna run them in series out of phase? He didn't mention that he had two.... he Said I hooked "IT" up at 1.5ohm.. not "IT" and my other w7.

what exactlly is a shifted magnet because when i was looking thru the crack at my coil, and pushing it up and down it coil kinda gets "crooked" as im turnin the subwoofer and looking through each slit where the basket meets the magnet i can see the coil its deff not burnt its really brown with my flashlight

I do believe that your impedance will change as the coil moves through the motor. You can verify that by doing it on your other sub.

The sub could be "Broken" and not be blown. If you didn't smell any smoke, you probably didn't burn up the coil. Like its already been said, it could be a number of things such as a poor recone job (coil out of alignment), damage from shipping (shifted magnet) or maybe even debris in the gap. Just because the coil reads ok, doesn't mean there is not other problems with it. But we cannot effectively diagnose it here. It needs to be looked at unfortunately.
