Farmacist
so i have an opportunity to get a soundstream xxx10k any 1 ran them yet any problems with em i don't wanna jump in head first and get this amp myself id be giving up my audioque 3500.1 that hasn't even been powered up to get it first off im one of the biggest Soundstream nut huggers you'll find.. with that said... don't buy this amp. Unless your getting it for $500 or something its not worth it. It's really a bastard amp... not much time was put into making it and it only puts out rated power under PERFECT conditions, that means a 16v electrical system. Some people have even found that XXX-6500 to put out more power. Not only that, but it's not even being produced anymore, and the flat rate to get it fixed from SS is $450. I had one of these, and I powered a xxx-15 with it nicely, but it would drain 3 HC2400's very quickly. rmzsuzuki89
I always heard that unless you're running a 16 volt system, SoundStream amps aren't the best choice. It's the little brother to the 15k. there is no comparison with the PPI-10k against the XXX-10k, it puts out close to twice the power. Boon
Someone forgot to tell Soundstream that you can't turn a "6.5kw" amp into a "10kw" amp by adding a couple of bits of wire on the inside... 10.x volts fo' life!
