BeAlLsTaR13
well i started the install for my clarion EQ today, all went smooth until i went to test it.. it sounds like SHIT.. no because its not tuned but it sound super staticy, yes everything his hooked up properly the fronts sound like abosolute shit, i have it wired correctly i have the MAIN IN on the EQ out to the RCA FRONT on HU then FRONT OUT SUB OUT REAR OUT on the EQ going to the desired amplifiers its all correct now it ONLY sounds like shit with the rcas plugged into the EQ from the HU on the MAIN IN.. HOWEVER if i touch the outside shell of the EQ with the rca prong coming from the HU it all sounds fine, but once i actually plug it in, it sounds like shit i have tried grounding the rcas... didnt work i tried grounding just the eq didnt work, then JUST the HU.. didnt work and then both and it didnt work what could the problem be? ARMYSGT_D
i was having some problems with that thing i got the same 1 i think u can look in my build. i got another 1 and it was fine. also i think theres probably a grounding issue with it somewhere my first 1 did the same thing unless i grounded the rca to the hu but when i got the new i didnt have to also check where the fuse is on that because if it doesnt stay tight you will get static the plastic that hold the 2 white pieces of the fuse holder together breaks sometimes. good luck i know its frusterating Quote current set-up kenwood ddx 712 clarion eq focal 165 k2p front focal 165v2 rear 2 re audio sexxx 12 us amps md3d us amps md42 1 optima yellow top (rear) 1 xs power 5100r (front) big 3 and 1 run 1/0 stinger wire my build my rebuild
