Guest Scylloga Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 I looked them up and they only handle 60 watts rms, I am more along the lines of 100 watts rms, the speakers I have in there now say they handle 85watts rms and I can get them to start popping from overload, I am afraid to blow the 1652's. I had a set of JBL power's in my old car on the same 4ch amp and I blew the crossovers with it so this amp is nothing to shake a stick at, I just don't want to buy these and not have them able to handle the power.... Im running this componet set on a RF power 1000 25 to life 5 chan amp. Im putting roughly 90 watts to them daily. The only problem I had was one tweet went out but RF sent me one out and had me goin before the weekend. I highly recommend them if you look at decafs music thread I have a video post and you can hear them in that. They are crisp and damn amazing speakers. Quote

I see you run the T1652's, those seem more feasible for me to get because they supposedly handle 100watts RMS. One would only assume they perform the same if not better than the Punch P1652's and for only about 50 per set more than the Punch series, the Power T1652's are sounding more and more attractive...
