MaXiMa_MaN Posted March 11, 2010 Report Posted March 11, 2010 Ok, Im fully restoring an 84 c10 chevy, done with everything except interior.. got sum nice leather bucket seats commin real soon, and I will throw in a ported 18 inch sub to sit in the middle and act as somewhat of a console as well.. lol the only problem is... finding which 18 will produce the MOST power and quality from a hilfonics brutus bxi2610D amp... i plan on ordering up another bxi2610D amp and running both of them on the sub i decide on that would handle it... ive found a 200amp chevelle h/o alternator that will fit my chevy, and ive upgraded my main battery to one with 850 cca and 1000 ca @ reg. temp.... also, will i need an additional battery or capacitor for the setup as well? i dont believe in goin cheap when i put my mind to something... especially something thats a classic! just need a push in the right direction... ANY help will be greatly accepted!!! juss need a push in the right direction till i get situated

Its an autocraft Titanium.... once I get the alternator shipped in, if i need additional batteries to power them, then ill get some! ive heard good things about optima batteries... anyone can vouch for them?? or add another brand?? im open to all opinions to complete this.. But its not a center console box tho, it will be ported, and basically, ill have a center console put infront of it just lower than the sub.. if space allows.. if not ill just put the amps there but the thing is, i DONT want a messy setup with wires running everywhere from the amps ya kno... id look for something better then an xl off planned 4k rms for 1 sub btw your cold cranking amps dont mean crap for what you need the batteries for i know, i was just stating that its a pretty strong battery... but really i was just planning on using that for just starting the truck... 454 big block engine and i still have the stock starter in for now until im able to find a brand new replacement... its hard finding parts for it that arent used or refurbished... but what sub would you suggest if not an xl
