z_ro Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 lol do yourself a favor and REALLY listen to the originators of the music... Find yourself some original DJ screw cd's. Some swishahouse cd's. LISTEN to the way its chopped. Listen to the speed and the tempo. Understand the chops between the Beats per minute. -Grab audacity and slow the speed of the song. Dont slow it with anything else. -Virtual DJ is a nice program but very expensive. It Has nice features but the speed function sucks. -Mixvibes pro V3.11 was a good version but not all computers will be able to save the final cut. just remember, there are no smart people in the world, only some less retarded than others wow shes hot too who is she? kim petras? wheres that from...i'd buss that open Bone stock 2015 Genesis Sedan RIP Civic

z_ro Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 z-ro u are always preachin about DJ Screw... have u heard anything from the Screw Tapes? Before DJ screw opened the screw shop i remember going with a friend to DJ Screws' house and buying tapes from him out his back door lol. I was all of 11-12 lol. Without Dj screw the form MAY have been created but the style would not be the same. Micheal watts from the swishahouse will tell you himself "it was screw who made the style and it will forever be his." Screw started out doin it for his homeboys and got smart and started selling his tapes around the hood. Then it just blew up all over Houston and surrounding areas. Michael watts just commercialized it and sold it nationwide. Now i will admit homeboy (screw) was not all about quality. lol ALL the gray tapes sounded like absoulute ass. lol BUT why do you think they call it chopped and "SCREWED?" EDIT: Im gonna find the documentary i got on DJ screw and RIP it. Also if you have ever seen the "BEEF" series. I think Beef 5 has the houston northside vs southside beef. It's actually pretty enlightening. lol just remember, there are no smart people in the world, only some less retarded than others wow shes hot too who is she? kim petras? wheres that from...i'd buss that open Bone stock 2015 Genesis Sedan RIP Civic

blackrosetiger Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 IMO Cubase and Cakewalk are the best programs to use but Audacity is decent too 1998 Plymouth Voyager (daily) Jensen VM9213 H.U. z_ro Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 IMO Cubase and Cakewalk are the best programs to use but Audacity is decent too to me the quality is perfect. I have used cool edit pro. Adobe Audition and a few other programs that are supposed to be quality products. In the end i was happiest with audacity. The pitch and tempo are matched perfectly when you slow the speed. And you cant beat free. lol just remember, there are no smart people in the world, only some less retarded than others wow shes hot too who is she? kim petras? wheres that from...i'd buss that open Bone stock 2015 Genesis Sedan RIP Civic
