I myself am getting an '86 dodge ramcharger (wicked excited!!!!) and I gotta agree, it's really cool to see another older dodge build. Lookin' sexy as usual, if I do say so myself. Did the paint turn out fine with so much dirt in your garage? cheers

masterbation is free, and even saves you money.sorry but someone had to say it

sorry, Jimmy...beat you to it (no pun intended)

LOLDON'T get a wife. Best advice I never got, and now it's too late <_<

My build: 12" DCON in a dorm room.

New/current build: 8" woofer, custom amplifier block, fiberglassed speaker pods

Yeah, the paint turned out fine for $30 Atwoods Tractor paint, lol. It looks so much better, but I didn't do enough sanding and stuff like that. Oh well, it was painted for temporary anyways. I am going to do a real paint job eventually, two tone it Plum Crazy Purple and white.

truck is turning out really nice! I have an '83 ramcharger so its nice to see another Dodge. Any further plans?

Yeah, I have a lot planned for the future. I am going to do a blowthrough soon, after I get a bigger system. Then I was thinking about bagging it, because bags are fun and look great on classic Dodge D150s. If not I will just lower it more with a 2/4 drop or a 4/6 drop. I am going to do a better paint job sometime also. A roll pan is in the future, and a couple of other things.

It all depends on how much money I pull in this summer. That is where I am getting most of my money for all of this.

New plans. 2 DD 512s and an AP10001D for starters. Getting the AP10001D tomorrow maybe, depending on how big my check is. But I noticed something funny about my box Saturday at a Midwest SPL contest here in Enid. One of the port boards blew out about 1 cm. If I would have noticed that before, I could have done much better. I borrowed my friends CM1 DD amp and put it on my walmart 12s, and hit 134.7. With a blown port. I was only pushing 400 watts on it because of the Ohm load. I just filled that gap with silicone, and I hit around 134 flat with my Kicker 250.2, opposed to 129.3 with the same amp. I might have reached 138 with that amp if I would have known.

But anyways, I got first place in my class, Basic 1 Nat'ls. The only other two people that were in my class hit 137.1 and 139 flat. Weak sauce, but I won simply because they entered under 500 watts. I pushed 420 watts in the finals, opposed to the other competitor, a buddy of mine, who was running 550 watts. So I have 20 out of 50 points under my belt to qualify for Midwest SPL Finals in Missouri.

But I have a question for you guys. I cant keep this box for too long like this. It is still pretty much broken lol. Can somebody help me with a box design that would work best and be the loudest for my truck? I am going to run these: http://www.ddaudio.com/mobile-audio/woofers/500-series.aspx and need about 6.5" mounting depth. I can only fit a box that is 8.25" wide 17" from the floor and about 13.5" at the floor.

:'( I blew my first pair of subs today. The heat got to one while I was doing a demo and it blew it when I hit a low note. One blew, so I bridged the other one to the amp. That Walmart sub lasted less than 5 seconds on 250 watts. I even let it sit for 45 minutes after I blew the first one. Haha. I get paid in 8 days, going straight to Performance Audio and buying my first DD 512. Depending on how much I have left I may buy the Audiopipe amp I mentioned earlier. If I don't, be on the lookout for a new box build. No blowthrough, but I am widening it 4 inches on each side. I am also doing a circle port, 4" Diameter and 22" long. Tuned to 30 hz. The port is going to fire straight into the sides, the majority of the air is going to move up the insides of the B pillars. Still planning on doing the 2 Audiopipe AP10001Ds or an Audioque 2200D eventually. Right now it looks like I am just gonna be rocking 1 DD 12 on 250 watts for a couple weeks. Then I will get the AP10001D and be doing roughly 400 RMS power to that. Then I will get the other DD and give it a chance to break in. By the time I get the second AP10001D, both subs should be broke in enough to sound great.

I am buying that AP10001D in 2 days. I am planning on building my box and console in the next week or so. Im going to venture into the wonderful world of fiberglassing.
