rollin_tito Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 sup im new on the site and a long time enthusiast and im looking to put 4 15's kicker cvr into my 85 buick regal. i was thinking on powering them with 2 power acustik a3000bd. now the problem im having is the fact that i d k if to have a tunnel built in the trunk or should i wall off the back seat? i dont want the same nasty sounding bass like 95% of ppl here in miami. i want to hurt some serious feelings. so i would like to hear some positive feedback and advices from the pros! thanks in advance

Welcome to the site, hang around a while, check out what people are doing and what works. You'll start getting a feel for what kinda subs you're gonna want/need more, what kinda power it'll take to get were you want, and how involved a build like this will be.

You'll start getting a feel for what kinda subs you're gonna want/need more, what kinda power it'll take to get were you want, and how involved a build like this will be. yea i figured that its not good quality but im building on a small budget and this is exactly what boys out here have anyways..just they hook it up to any amps and any box and think they are the kings of bass!! lol. so i want to do this time around correctly. i want to defentely upgrade in the future.i'm looking into fi or dc speakers and still researching on power plants. thanks for the advise though. im going to keep looking around on here i've been a fan of S.M.D. for a long time so lets see.. i want to get this in the car now and bump them when i redo the car 3rd time around im going all out!

There are better suited subs for your application for sure. well most ppl down here are near the mid 140's i want to get them with 2 a3000bd. ill be happy between 145 and 149
kmalinich Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 don't go power acoustik. waste of the little money they cost. they'll break. and before that, they won't make anything close to rated power. and walls are expensive and kinda difficult but really loud. plus they look sweet. nothing like woofers right behind you.. and when people get in your car, they're like "woah wtf, look at this shit!! woofers in the car!" if it's budget but you wanna go loud still, look into buying some used, but still high quality equipment.
